Consideration should be given to the length of braid that you require. As the braid is expanded to cover the bundle you will experience a shrinkage of the braid length. The greater the expansion that you require to go over your bundle, the greater lengthways shrinkage you will experience.

Also remember to make an allowance if your cable has plugs on it!
